About 108 Kids Thirumurai Vinnappam Initiative

Panniru Thirumurai, also known as the Twelve Sacred Books, is a revered collection of Tamil Saiva scriptures that form the foundation of Saiva Siddhanta philosophy. These texts are composed by various Saiva saints, known as Nayanmars, and are considered to be the most significant works in Tamil devotional literature. The Panniru Thirumurai is a monumental contribution to Tamil culture and spirituality, encompassing profound philosophical insights, devotional hymns, and ethical teachings.

Historical Significance

The Panniru Thirumurai dates back to the 6th to 12th centuries CE and reflects the rich spiritual heritage of Tamil Nadu. The texts are divided into twelve volumes, each attributed to different saints who have significantly influenced the Saiva tradition. These works have been pivotal in preserving the Tamil language and have played a crucial role in the cultural and religious history of the region.
